We went in for a review with the Stroke Clinic today. Ryan had a CT angio yesterday and this was the checkup to see how things had progressed. The arteries in the front were still blocked. Worse part though? One of the two arteries in the back of his neck has a dissection too. One of the two remaining arteries pumping the blood into his brain has a tear in it. Thankfully with the coumadin he’s already on, there isn’t as much of a fear of a stroke, but it’s still scary. We have to keep a close eye on him, to make sure he doesn’t have another one. This is most likely why the headaches were so bad last week. *sigh*
I hate this. We still desperately need prayers. And it hurts. A lot.
