Weekend Experience

This weekend we started a move.

We found out that family friends of ours were renting out a place on their property.  After checking it out last Saturday, we said we’d take it.  Put in our month notice to our current place and started packing.  We’ve gotten most of our items packed, with the exception of the things we’ll need this next week.  All those boxes are now at our new place.  We are ready for the UHaul next Saturday to come and move the furniture.

This is close to our place, but far enough away not to worry about flooding.

We are very excited.  It’ll be a much larger place, room to spread out.

As we were loading up the truck for the second to last time, I heard commotion off to the side of our front lawn.  Birds were freaking out at our dogs.

I shortly discovered why.

This little guy.

Looks like he fell out of the nest while trying to fly.  He didn’t have all his feathers yet.  We got the dogs inside and I then took a couple more photos.  Warned the neighbors not to let their dog out and went back inside to keep packing.

After a couple hours, I went outside to check on him and he was gone.  Looks like he made it back to home safe and sound.  Thank goodness!
