This week was a great chance to test out my new camera. And the “nifty fifty”. Ohhhhh the bokeh. Creamy creamy bokeh. I’d never shot anything that could drop to anything less than an f4.5 so the f1.8….glorious! And running on all manual mode (SO MUCH EASIER ON CANONS) was fun too!

The lovely and talented Miss B is doing another Foto School. Without a doubt, I learned tons with the last one in Spring, photographing the same plant over a 6 week period of time. This time, we are taking pictures of the alphabet. One photo a day for 30 days. I can DO THIS!
This has been so amazing, as I’ve managed to pick up the camera more in the last few days than I have in the last couple months COMBINED!
I also can’t wait to finish it and print up a book. An alphabet book for Baby Soup, starring her!
I love a challenge that I can follow through with!
Looking back, I can’t believe it’s been so long since I entered an iHeart Faces contest!
I tried to think of something creative to do. And then, I had the perfect picture. So often, I get down low. But when taking a picture of my beautiful daughter, I decided to try something different. And got up high!
Of course, I’m sure I’m not the only one. The gorgeous and amazing Keli did it too. But I love it. Trying something different is ALWAYS worth it!

Someone was not happy starting out….but as soon as we got outside, she perked right up!
I had so much fun. My daughter looked gorgeous, the lighting was fabulous and I just felt it. It was perfect. There are so many of these that I just love and I had a great time testing out some new amazing actions and tweaks to play around to get the look I wanted.
This one, though….this one is my favorite.
