I know it’s a few weeks late, but I don’t care!
Like any good day, we had a nap early on.
Then, my mom arrived to help get ready. She brought her camera, which of course meant the birthday girl had to take it.
A girl after my own heart!
A little snack time before all the people arrived.
The above picture? Taken amongst this:
She would spin spin spin and then drop and pose.
I’ve got a dancer for sure!
Then Grammy arrived with the cake! It was SO delicious!
Presents! This year, she totally got into it. Tearing paper and tossing bows. It was hilarious.
This puppy became her new best friend.
Well, at least until she opened the play tent. After that, this is the most we saw of her all day:
Happy birthday, baby girl. You are a so loved and I hope your party was a blast!
I was going to do this for my Wordless Wednesday, but decided against it. Too many words are needed!
I won the contest that Aunt Becky put on a while back to win her BlogHer swag. We had fun with her visit and so winning was just the cherry on top! Here is my entry if you missed it.
Imagine my joy when we came home last night to a happy little box sitting on our deck.
(Forgive the horrible pictures to come….)
Baby Soup was VERY excited.
I couldn't open the box fast enough for her.
Hank the Monkey! Baby Soup's stuffed monkey is named Hank too...so this was perfect!
Half the makeup included!
Some of you may remember the great makeup loss of September. So this makeup was truly welcomed. And it’s E.L.F. makeup, which is even more awesome. If you haven’t heard of it before, check it out. Inexpensive (most things are $1) and worth 40 times it!
Woohoo! Mini martinis, here I come!
The geek in me squeeled at the happy Pink lego keychain!
Know what Baby Soup liked best....
She LOVED the Strawberry Shortcake doll.
Wouldn't let me take it from her.
Lots of other little fun bits and pieces of joy. It was so much fun to open and discover the little treasures. Thanks, Aunt Becky! YOU ROCK!
I found out about “Friend Makin Mondays” from Jen at the Daily Mish Mash and just had to play! Head over to aefilkins and do your own! This was timed perfectly as well, since I didn’t have anything finished for today, thanks to a horrible migraine and residual headache this weekend. No fun!
The theme is “5 toys that remind you of your childhood”.
I, naturally, loved the Barbie horse and the Barbies. I had my mother’s barbies as well as the “new” ones. I *loved* them! I tried to find a photo of the Barbie Camper that I had, but no such luck. Alas. I can’t wait until my daughter is old enough to play with them, because she will have 3 generations of Barbies to play with!
4. Cabbage Patch Horse and Cowgirl
Loves to play with their hair. It was kind of a bendable material, so you could go in and “curl” it with the plastic curling iron and braid it and everything. This was how I learned how to French Braid.
3. Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins
I had all of these little figuirines and the Care Bear ones too. Loved the movies and everything. Fabulous fun!!
2. Littlest Pet Shop
So, I’ve had to cheat because all of my toys are packed away until my daughter is old enough to play with them….and it was hard to find a photo of the old school Littlest Pet Shop. And apparently they are called “Vintage”. I feel REALLY old. The new ones are hideous. *shudders* But I *loved* these. I had the store to sell them…the lovebirds and these kitties were my favorites.
1. My Little Pony!
OMG My Little Pony. My all-time favorite. They were so much fun…especially the ones with the clothes and hair things.
