This morning, I woke up and got ready for work. My daughter woke up halfway, looked at me after rubbing her eyes with her chubby little hand. Let me give her a kiss and then rolled over to cuddle with her daddy. This was the first morning that she was awake and recognized that I was not staying that she didn’t burst into tears.
My heart was happy this morning.
Wonderful!!!
Awwwwww. My daughter is going through a similar milestone… She did not cry when I left her at my best friend’s house this morning. She has been going over there 3-4 times/week for about 3 hours so I can get my job done and not get fired. 🙂 She loves it there, but she’s just SO attached to Mama. She has been glued to my side since she was 4 months old. Like, ridiculously attached. No one else has ever been able to hold her for more than a few seconds without shrieks of “Ma-ma, Ma-MA!” It looks like they might be growing out of the separation anxiety just a tad??? Please, oh please? 🙂
Congratulations on a good morning. My heart is happy for you!
Thank you, my friend! And Congrats for you! Especially the “not get fired” part! Hurray!
It makes your heart happy when they don’t cry, doesn’t it? She might do this in spurts for a while. I have to tell you, sometimes Colin still gets upset/has tears in his eyes when I have to go to work and he has to go to the sitter’s.
That is just an awesome feeling 🙂
