Home Again, Jiggity Jig

21 Mar

I never thought I would become a connoisseur of hospitals.

That I would know that OHSU has a far superior cafeteria and coffee shop variety, whereas St. Vincent’s has an incomparable ICU waiting room and their ICU rooms have so much more room.  Granted, the ICU area may be different because of the difference between the Cardiac ICU and the Neuro ICU, but still….

Taking a Stroll

side note: the tiny little PT lady also has double dissected corroted arteries like Ryan. We convinced her to get tested for the alpha1 antitripsen disorder...

Ryan gets to come home today.  He’s on his way now, in fact. Tonight, I’ll be able to snuggle with him in our own bed and fall asleep.  I won’t need to answer a two year old who keeps wondering where her daddy is.

Another reminder to cherish life. All kinds of life.  It’s too short to hold grudges. Our worlds are too small to dwell on the things we cannot change.

Thank you all for your prayers and your love. We could not go through this without you.

I love you all.

OK, that is it. Your family has hit the limit of scary things that can happen to you for a good long while. So glad that he is home again and life can get on to a new normal.
