Today, it looks like spring outside. The sun is shining. If I could open a window, I’m sure I would hear birds singing. Granted, it’s Oregon, so it’s super cold, but this sun thing….it’s odd.
I want to curl up on my couch, the sun shining in, with a cup of tea and a good book (I’m reading Jim Butcher’s Codex Alera series and rereading Phillipa Gregory’s Boleyn series too). Or maybe zone out with some TV (I’m watching Will & Grace and The West Wing now).
Unfortunately, I’ll be curling up on my desk chair, sun shining in, with a cup of coffee and my computer.
No rest for the weary!
But it’s okay…it’s for a good cause. It keeps my mind busy.
But sometimes….
I want to be able to do nothing.
What would you do today if you were free of all responsibilities?
Oh, what a day to ask that. I had a heck of a day at work. And the bad thing is, it wasn’t even a “bad” day – we’ve had much worse and I know we probably will before the Season is out, but as I was driving home I just wanted to cry.
I’d like to say that if I had no responsibilities I would get some writing done, but I know I would probably just schmooze the web or sit on the couch and knit or read.
Ewwww, yuck! That’s the worst, when you have a bad day that isn’t even what could be described to someone as a bad day. 😦 I hope today is better!
Wednesdays are my day off, so today was indeed better!
sleep and read. Have no responsibilities.
That sounds so so lovely…
Oh, I would definitely curl up in bed and continue reading “Shadowfever” by Karen Marie Moning. The Fever series is definitely something I would recommend!
Okay, definitely on my list now. Yay for new books to read!
I am in some serious winter misery right now! I need some of that sunlight and warmth!!
I can tell! your snow images are gorgeous.
