Another Sunday

30 Jan

Ahhhh, the joys of a two year old.  One minute, screaming.  The next, giggling.

One moment, she just HAS to have the entire plate of cookies and doesn’t understand why you won’t let her.  The next, she is perfectly content playing with her blocks.

It’s exhausting.

Sometimes, I feel like a single parent and I don’t envy those that have to do it all the time.

She won’t be my little girl forever.

But it’s difficult to remember that when she’s screaming in your ear.  Even more so when it’s been going on all day.

Sometimes, I just desperately need a break.

You know what? As a mother of a lovely, wonderful daughter who is – what? – 26! Yes, she WILL be your little girl forever. Motherhood is a life sentence. It’s hard…but incredibly sweet.

Awww Motherhood. You are the one that held them at night while they were scared, played at the park for hours and hours, read the same story over and over. No matter how old your children are they are still your babies.
I know that this is a difficult time for you. I am ALWAYS here for you Honey.I love you!
