Long Weekend

15 Feb

Full of things wonderful and exhausting.  As usually tends to happen.

Had fun at Bingo Night with my parent’s at the school my mom works at.  Lots of elementary aged kids, hot dogs and Bingo.  What more do you need?  My dad was one number away from the blackout prize, which was so close.

Baby Soup made tons of new friends, including a little 18 month old.  Baby Soup is almost as tall as her!  Crazy!

Meeting New Friends

Saturday saw us getting deep into decluttering mode at home.  Our kitchen is now cleaned and organized even better than it was when we first moved in.  We also have a huge box of things to send to Goodwill.  We drink a lot of tea, but do not need 7532u9o5490 mugs.

The evening was spent playing poker with my cousin and her friend before bed.

Valentine’s Day was exciting.  We were going to have a date!  Just Mr. Soup and I!  We had been planning for weeks and were so excited.  We were going to go to this great pub in town and then to Goodwill to do some thrifting for storage and other supplies for the house.

Come to find out, the pub isn’t open on Sundays.  At all.  We nearly cried.  So we chose to drive towards Hillsboro and think of where to eat.  Finally decided on Applebee’s.  After a lovely meal, we treated ourselves to Jamba Juice.  Then realized we had a gift card for AT&T from a referral.  So found some great Skull Candy headsets with the microphone to go “Hands Free” like responsible drivers.

Finished up the day exploring the joys and excitement that can be found at Goodwill and the Dollar Tree.  I hope to share some of my finds later on this week…

But the weekend was a success.  A great Valentine’s Day.  Spent time with those I love.  Exhausting night with bits of insomnia and nightmares, but overall wonderful.

I love being still so in love with my husband.  It’s fantastic.
