A Fighting Princess

17 Nov

Once Upon A Time, there was a beautiful Princess.  She had married an evil Prince who was a **insert many bad words here** and left her.  This beautiful Princess then found out she was pregnant.

She was excited and scared.  She already had an amazingly beautiful little Prince to take care of, but was ready to add another child to her family.  Time went on and she was even more excited upon discovering that she would have another Princess in her family.

But then something happened.  She was born too soon.  Several months too soon, in fact.

This beautiful Princess was born before her time, but she was a fighter.  Every day, the beautiful Princess watched her daughter, her precious little daughter fight to take a breath.  To have her heart beat.  To live.

Time passed.  Things started to get better.  Slowly, she grew stronger.

Eventually, the little Princess was able to breath on her own.  She ate on her own.

Now?  Years later?

She is a healthy, happy teenager.  A true beautiful Princess.  And her mother has a handsome Prince.

And they all lived Happily Ever After.

But not all do.  Help us fight for those that can’t fight for themselves.

Visit March of Dimes to see how you can help.  Volunteer, Donate, Walk.

Every little bit helps.  Anything helps.

Lets get everyone to live Happily Ever After.

Thank you so much for participating in the fight for preemie and for sharing your story about your fighting princess. Together with your support and the support of other’s all babies will one day have a healthy and happy start.

On behalf of the March of Dimes, once again thank you for your support.

Thank you for getting the recognition out there. Hopefully one day, we won’t need to support this.

    Great post and great organization!

Hey, I was just reading on Visions of Sugarplums about your love of Outlander! I am a huge Outlander fan too. It is my favorite series EVER! I just finished the latest book and have already started rereading the first one. I am going to reread the whole thing in sequence – I think it’s the 6th or 7th time for me. Just wanted to say — Yay for Outlander!

      Thank you!

And omg yes! Outlander is so amazing. I’m currently on Voyager again for my re-read. After reading the newest one I couldn’t believe how much I had forgotten. It’s probably just about my 6th or 7th time reading it again too. Got hooked in college….I was so happy to marry a Scotsman!

I met Diana Gabaldon last month when she came through Portland…it was amazing. She was so nice and sweet and well-spoken.

Thanks sis for putting this out there! I look at how precious my not so little girl is and thank the Lord every day for giving me my special miracle. It’s hard to think about all the things that happened so fast 14 years ago. Looking at her now you would never know that she was only 3 lbs 14oz when she was born.
