You Capture – Real Life

12 Nov

Photobucket

I’ve done Day in the Lifes before, and if I had been thinking properly this week, I would have done it again.  But alas, my brain?  So not here.

But this is my life.  My Real Life.  The Work Version.

Photobucket

The drive in, rainy as usual.

Photobucket

Breakfast! Toast and Honey Nut Cherrios. Yum!

Photobucket

Projects to work on.

Photobucket

Phone calls to make and take.

Photobucket

Invoices to fold and mail.

Photobucket

My breast, er, best friend.

And throughout the day?  The only place I want to be is here:

Photobucket

with her.

I hate being away from my little girl all day…Spending time with her and my wife beats anything else I could possibly be doing.

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 11:16 am #

Yes, exactly. Especially when days are really really slow…it makes it even worse.

I used to eat cereal out of a plastic cup too!

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 11:32 am #

It’s so much easier than the flimsy paper bowls we have! What you also don’t see, is the plastic fork in the cereal because I was too lazy to walk back to the break room to get a spoon and the forks were right in the cupboard near me.

Love your photos! I know how you feel. I only work 2 days a week, but hate every second that I have to be away from my little ones. Being a mommy is exhausting work, but I love it! 🙂

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 12:11 pm #

It’s amazing how it affects you so deeply! Exhausting but lovely.

Ah, you did such a great job with this theme! Thank you for sharing your day with us. Baby Soup is so precious!

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 12:13 pm #

      Oh, thank you!

Hey, put that camera down while you’re driving, young lady! 😉

I love the picture of those files…I think it’s that blue glow on the background–what is that?

And that sweet, sweet baby. I remember those days of physically being at work while my heart was with my little girl. I hope and pray it may work out for you one day to be home with her??

(I overthought this assignment–wish I had done a “Day in the Life Of” rather than spending so much time racking my brain for how to portray Real Life. I like yours–it’s fun to see other aspects of peoples’ lives!)

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 12:52 pm #

Ahahahaha, I don’t have to pay attention to hit the button! Besides, it’s a straight road with no cars coming the other way. I’m awesome like that. 😉

That blue glow in the background is our main conference room doors. When the sun shines (even the rainy Oregon sunshine) through the doors, they look blue.

It’s so hard being away from her…but it does help that Mr. Soup gets to be home with her. And he does an amazing job. I think it would help if I had a job that I love. Because right now, I don’t…so the time I spend out here is so much more difficult.

You should just do a Day in the Life randomly! Just because. They are really really fun.

How did you steal my baby again? HUH?

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 1:29 pm #

      Vewwy vewwy sneaksy I am.

I only had to work for a couple months after having a baby, but thank God for the double electric pump!

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 1:45 pm #

Oh yeah, SERIOUSLY! It makes it so I can pump on my 10 minute breaks, get the full bottles and be peachy keen. I would DIE without my pump.

  8. marie November 12, 2009 at 5:12 pm #

Love your sweet baby! I think it’s awesome that you pump at work, btw. That is truly a commitment and it’s wonderful that you take the time to do it!

    • mrssoup November 12, 2009 at 5:17 pm #

I’m blessed that our situation is as awesome as it is. There is a room off of the bathroom that works perfectly for it, door, power plug and everything. Pumping is also REALLY easy for me. I can get 5oz in less than 10 minutes. If all these things didn’t align, I probably wouldn’t do it, let alone have done it this long.

Did you take that photo while driving?!? Girl, you are crazy! Your sweet baby is so precious. And your breakfast made me hungry.

Your breast- er… best friend looks a little dangerous and scary.

    • mrssoup November 13, 2009 at 10:03 am #

Ha! Oh yeah, it’s totally intimidating.

  12. keli_h November 13, 2009 at 9:47 am #

I love this glimpse into your life! I can imagine how hard it is to leave her every day, but you are a rockstar mom for doing that!! And pumping!! Seriously, you are my hero!! ❤

    • mrssoup November 13, 2009 at 10:03 am #

      Ahhh, thanks sweetie!

  13. Cathy November 13, 2009 at 11:41 pm #

Oh, so sorry you have to miss her, but glad she’s with Daddy. I am really relating to that rainy windshield picture. 🙂

Ahh, rainy windshields. The joys of living in Oregon.

FINALLY can see what you look like – gorgeous! I don’t blame you for wanting to just be home w/Baby Soup…So precious and even more adorable in that big shirt 🙂

I never did my REAL LIFE capture entry. Lately, my life’s been all about cleaning/decluttering and I have the before/after pics to prove them! Entry’s done, just haven’t uploaded the pics…

    • mrssoup November 18, 2009 at 2:22 pm #

      Awwww, thank you. *blush*

Can’t wait to see what you’ve done though! I love decluttering projects…as long as I don’t have to do them. Hahaha!
