You Capture – Up Close and Personal

17 Sep

Photobucket

I was very excited when I saw this challenge. I love macro. I keep trying to convince my dad he needs to get a macro lens for his camera, but he just does not understand the love of macro.

I only got one new photo this week though…darn baby teething makes it so difficult to get anything done.

And then here are some from the Labor Day shoot that I love and want to share!

I really like the first shot. It tells a story. Very cool.
(you should have a story telling contest – or you should write a story with some of your photos.)

Oh a contest is a good idea!

And I try to tell stories whenever I can…it’s always so much more interesting!

Why is it dandelion “leftovers” look amazing in photographs (especially yours!) but so ugly on my lawn? 🙂 Truly beautiful pictures!

    • mrssoup September 17, 2009 at 11:14 am #

Haha, I think its because one never wants them in a lawn! Thank you so much for visiting!

Wow. Did you really manage to pluck your eyebrow AND photograph it at the same time? Mad props to you! Plus it’s a gorgeous photo. Awesome. I like the last one too!

You wouldn’t believe how many outtakes I had to do….but thank you! Used the macro side of my little mirror at my desk and my iPhone camera. Booya!

I love #2 & 3!! My kids love to find those spikey ball things, whatever they are called!

    • mrssoup September 17, 2009 at 12:27 pm #

I wish I knew what they were called…but I love them! They are SO cool looking!

Great first shot, though I hate that dreaded task!! 🙂 And the dandelions…love them!!

    • mrssoup September 17, 2009 at 12:28 pm #

See, plucking actually is relaxing to me. It’s concentrating on one thing, the pain is minimal and it’s fun to fix something instantly.

Oh, I love the first dandelion shot!

    • mrssoup September 17, 2009 at 2:18 pm #

    • mrssoup September 18, 2009 at 8:08 am #

Yes! You do! Macro is amazing because it seriously lets you look deeper into an object. Something boring because amazingly beautiful.

  14. Alison Rowe September 18, 2009 at 8:51 am #

I love playing around with the Macro lens. I love the third picture! Great job.

    • mrssoup September 18, 2009 at 9:02 am #

      I so wish I had a macro lens….someday. Someday.

      Thank you!

The first shot is very clever. The colours in the first dandelion shot and beautiful and I love the contrasts in the B&W berries – great variety – and talent 😀

    • mrssoup September 19, 2009 at 3:49 pm #

Thank you so much! I am so glad you liked it…and I am now blushing.

  18. Vera September 19, 2009 at 10:48 pm #
