Migraines

23 Aug

The pressure behind the eyes.  The pain in the top of the neck.  The heat that radiates throughout the head.

A migraine.

The essence of evil and a day that will be ruined.

Friday I woke up to the overwhelming pain.  Drugs, water and a hot shower and I was finally human again by 1.  The day was lost to me.

The worst part though?  The residual headache that lasts for about a week.

Is it Friday yet?

Oh my god I know… I get headaches all the time… Migraines every once in a while… they actually make you apreciate a simple headache.

I am so Sorry 😦 I hope you are feeling better!

I just started getting migraines a couple years ago but have had chronic headaches for decades. I never understood the difference until I actually got one myself. And now, so much sympathy for those that do.

I’m now back to the regularly scheduled headache today. Hoping a massage tonight might make it go away for a little bit…

Did the massage work last night? Feeling any better today?

It helped a little bit. Enough that I could sleep at least. Still feeling drained this morning, but at least I’m able to sit up straight.

      How’s your back feeling?

I used to get these as a teenager – but never as an adult! Sorry for your pain

So jealous that you haven’t gotten them again! You are lucky.

I stumbled across your blog today and this post caught my eye. My sister and I have had migraines for a while now. Her migraines are a lot more frequent than mine. She recently got on a Beta Blocker (prescription) and it has been working miracles for her. They are a lot less frequent and less sever. Let me know if you want me to get the name of it for you.

Thank you! Unfortunately, my migraines aren’t common enough to allow the prescription medication, and they also start while I’m sleeping, so the drugs wouldn’t work anyways since you have to take them at the first inkling.

Someday, I hope they will have something to fix it forever! I mean, they have 8 million types of drugs for erectile dysfunction…why not for migraines?!

UGH! We must have been channeling each other…because Friday I had THE MOST AWFUL MIGRAINE EVER. Nothing made it go away. Pills..sleep…complete and total quiet…nothing.

    Hope you’re feeling better!…

It’s all your fault then! I’ll just blame you. And yeah, it’s Tuesday and I still have the residual headache. No fun at all!

    Ugh. Migraines are horrible.

    Hope you’re feeling better.

Probably as horrible as allergic reactions in the form of hives all over your body. 😦 Hope you are feeling better too!

Migraines make me want to barf.

I am SO glad they don’t make me vomit. I had enough of that when I was pregnant, I think I would die if the migraines did it to me too…
